Film Name:雙龍會 / Twin Dragons

《Twin Dragons》 is an entertaining Hong Kong film known for its unique plot, innovative action design and comedic elements. Starring Jackie Chan, the film tells the story of two twin brothers who are separated when they are abducted at a young age, grow up in different environments and meet by chance, thus swapping identities. The film is much more interesting than expected. The double Jackie Chan setting, the misplaced love, the beauty of Ri Zhi and Man Shen, and the clever action design make this film “Jackie Chan + Jackie Chan = 3 times the fun”.

The best feature of the film is that Jackie Chan plays two roles, showing how the two characters’ lives and work are reversed and dislocated when they swap identities. This setting brings a lot of humour and hilarity to the film, while also exploring the impact of upbringing and destiny on life. In terms of visual effects, the film made use of advanced computer-generated techniques at the time to create scenes of the “two dragons” standing side-by-side, and although these effects may seem crude by today’s standards, they brought a fresh visual experience to audiences in the 1990s.

In addition, the film also brings together a number of renowned Hong Kong directors and actors, such as Tsui Hark, Lam Ling Tung, Maggie Cheung and Li Zhi, to add more highlights to the film. Together, they present a visual and aural feast to the audience, making 《Twin Dragons》 a classic piece of Hong Kong film history.
