Film Name: 行运超人 / My Lucky Star / 行運超人

Watching this show, the most moving part was actually the scene from their previous dynasty. Seeing Tony Leung follow Kelly Chen as the newly crowned top scholar returning to his hometown and being warmly welcomed by the entire village felt incredibly heartwarming and touching. What I love most is seeing Tony Leung smile. I’ve always struggled to understand how a man who’s been through so much can laugh with such childlike innocence—just like that iconic photo of young Tony practicing the “Divine Palm” on his bed. That’s why I adore him: simple and direct. Perhaps it differs from how many others are drawn to his gaze, but I just adore seeing him smile. And in that homecoming scene, I saw him smile again—a truly joyful smile.
The scene where he and Eric Cheng disrupted Miriam Yeung’s family’s dragon vein also left a deep impression. Especially the line “When the dragon’s blood runs dry, the yellow dragon flies away”—it’s something I can’t forget.
Whenever I watch Miriam Yeung’s films, they reignite my courage to face life, and this one especially so. Her character is born under an unlucky star, suffering misfortunes beyond belief. It’s nothing short of a miracle she’s made it this far. Yet she never gives up on herself. Like a weed, she lives on with optimism and courage. Her spirit is deeply empowering. No matter how rough life gets, she keeps telling herself: “One day, someone will come to take me away on a rainbow cloud.” That’s our heroine—cheerful, optimistic, and indestructible.
The most moving aspect of the entire film is that spirit of daring to challenge fate and believing that man can overcome heaven. Miriam Yeung embodies it, and so does Tony Leung. Just like in real life, their journey is filled with all sorts of villains, traps, and hardships. Yet, as long as they hold fast to their belief in themselves and true love, all the ugliness becomes insignificant!
p.s.: The theme song is truly beautiful. Tony Leung’s voice carries more emotional weight than his gaze:
“If angels fall ill and leave me unprotected;
Through fire and water, I pray your arms hold me tight.
At last I’ve found you, I need you so.
I’ve touched your heart, heard your tears.
Through sorrow’s days, we’ll walk together.
Our hands entwined as one,
Through life’s highs and lows, we’ll journey side by side!”
