Film Name: 二郎神之深海蛟龍 / God with Three Eyes
I had high hopes for “God with Three Eyes,” but the viewing experience fell far short of expectations. First, the visual effects were nowhere near as stunning as advertised; instead, they felt rather lackluster, lacking any truly innovative or eye-catching elements.
The plot was even more disappointing. Clichéd scenarios, weak dialogue, and an overly drawn-out narrative pace made the entire film feel tedious and unengaging. Character development was also lackluster, particularly General Li, whose presence felt negligible and contributed almost nothing to advancing the story.
What’s more regrettable is that while the film attempts to blend multiple mythological elements, it fails to craft a fresh and compelling narrative. Instead, these elements are awkwardly piled together, appearing chaotic and lacking internal logic or coherence.
As for the final boss battle, it was widely mocked by audiences as “a joke.” What should have been a tense and thrilling climax instead feels flat and uneventful due to insufficient build-up and tension, even inducing a sense of drowsiness.
Overall, “God with Three Eyes” falls short of audience expectations in both visual spectacle and narrative. It delivers neither visually stunning moments nor a compelling story. For a work like this, I can only say it has a long way to go.
